ProFinish™ Tile Over Tray System
System Overview
The ProFinish™ Tile Tray System is a pre-formed, high-density rigid polyurethane shower base used in place of traditional sand and cement screeds, providing a consistent, factory-formed substrate for tiled shower applications. Following installation of the wall lining, the tray is bonded to the floor and a continuous waterproofing membrane is applied over the floor, tray and up the walls, forming a sealed enclosure ready for tiling. This approach eliminates reliance on site-formed screeds and reduces variability in falls and drainage performance.

The Newline ProFinish™ Tile Over Tray System is designed to support compliance with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) requirements for internal wet area installations. When installed in accordance with Newline installation guidelines and in conjunction with an approved waterproofing membrane system, ProFinish assists in meeting: NZBC Clause B2 - Durability Supporting long-term performance requirements for building elements. NZBC Clause E3 - nternal Moisture Assisting in the management and containment of water within wet area environments. ProFinish is intended to be used as part of a complete shower system, including compatible waste outlets and certified waterproofing membranes applied by approved installers. Specifier and installer responsibility remains to ensure full system compliance with project-specific requirements and applicable standards.
